3 Body Language Secrets. It is not just your words that communicate, it is your actions, too.

Body Language

Here are 3 secrets to increase the connection in your relationship learn.

3 Body Language Secrets

  1. Touch your partner.

Hug them, kiss them, hold their hand.  Touching releases a chemical known as oxytocin which helps us to feel close to someone.  I am not talking about pecks and barely there hugs.  Make them count…at least 20 seconds!

  2. Make eye contact with your partner.

Eye contact makes conversation important…it sends a message that what your partner is saying is important.  Stop whatever you are doing and pay attention to your partner and look directly into their eyes.

    Recharge yourself.

If you are tired and fatigued, this body language comes across to your partner.  Let go of stress.  If you are rested and rejuvenated, this will spill over into your relationship too…and can make all the difference in how connected you are with your partner.

Body language is a type of communication in which physical behaviors, as opposed to words, are used to express or convey the information. Such behavior includes facial expressions, body posture, gestures, eye movement, touch and the use of space. Body language exists in both animals and humans, but this article focuses on interpretations of human body language. It is also known as kinesics.

Although body language is an important part of communication, most of it happens without conscious awareness.

In a society, there are agreed-upon interpretations of particular behavior. Interpretations may vary from country to country, or culture to culture. On this note, there is controversy on whether body language is universal. Body language, a subset of nonverbal communication, complements verbal communication in social interaction. In fact some researchers conclude that nonverbal communication accounts for the majority of information transmitted during interpersonal interactions.[4] It helps to establish the relationship between two people and regulates interaction, but can be ambiguous.
